Reasons Behind Dog Hair Loss
When you own a dog you want to ensure that you care for it the best you can, if your dog begins to get ill or appear worried then you will want to know the cause. If your dog is pregnant or nursing they will also experience some hair loss. Often once the period has passed the hair loss will stop and your dog will be back to normal. Grooming and brushing your dog regularly will help to determine how serious the hair loss is. If you are noticing a vast increase in hair loss when grooming your dog then you should seek professional help.
Fleas and mites can also be the cause of the hair loss; if your dog is itching all day then they may be causing the hair loss. You need to check that your dog isn't scratching to excess and if they are what are causing this. If your dog does have fleas or mites then your vet will be able to treat your dog very easily. This will stop the itching and the hair loss will stop, there are many reasons why your dog may be losing hair. Once you find out what is the cause then you can treat the problem.
